Sounds: Intercepting Signals
Imagine...You're playing your old Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Suddenly the game crashes. It plays one tone, without a break. It starts out as being annoying. Then, it soon develops into a soothing, hypnotic melody. It is as mysterious as the stars, but as calm as the night. You begin to realize that you are no longer listening intently, but slowly drifting off into sleep. Yes, as a hypnotist would guide you, the music is a reassuring hand. It's monotonous tone becomes the metronome-like watch dangled in front of you. You start to dream, and this odd sound influences them, as if he were the God of your will. It seems to control your mind. Suddenly, abruptly, it stops. Almost like a warning. Why should it go away? The sound if comfort, it is the least bit annoying. When it stops after going for five hypnotic minutes, it turns into a warning. That sound turns into a suggestion of danger.

Hey Jovan,
ReplyDeleteBefore you send this to Charlotte you might want to look some things over. You didn't meet the sentence requirements, so I just wanted to warn you on that.
Hope I helped,
Sketch
Jovan, you did a great job! I like how you used a NES to describe the sound, because my Grandmother’s NES some times freezes and make’s a weird noise like the one you described. The way you described the hypnotic effect that the sound makes, it’s very different but good. And the vocabulary that you is very eloquent. The only thing that you are missing is the link, but other than that its perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe beginning was a great hook starting it off with a sound that you can imagin happening. Then you say it starts annoying because that sound has to be annoying. Also you add how it kind off turns into a hypnotic melody that really grabbed me.
ReplyDelete"It's as mysterious as the stars, but as calm as the night" That was really good metaphor because everybody has wondered about stars. Also lots of people have stayed up late and watched the stars. I also like the sound of danger metaphor because iit really describes the sound.
I think you could desribe the hynotic melody a little better because that could meen anything. Also you don't really describe the sound after the first few sentences and the last sentence.
